About Me

I'm a two-time Emmy Award-winning former television news producer now focused on writing in the travel, culture, adventure, parenting, wellness and lifestyle spaces.

I love to tell stories about the places I visit, the people I meet, and the things I experience along the way. I've had bylines in BBC Travel, Travel+Leisure,  Fodor's, Business Insider, Midwest Living, and even the New Zealand Herald.

I was honored to be named the 2026 Mark Twain Travel Writer of the Year by my peers at the Midwest Travel Journalists Association. I'm also an active member in the Society of American Travel Writers and the North American Travel Journalists Association. I'm also a media delegate for the Adventure Travel Trade Association.

When I'm not packing for my next trip to visit my college kid in LA, or training for my next race, you'll find me at home with my husband and small family zoo, including an adorable ruby King Charles Cavalier Spaniel and two cats.

If you're interested in what you see here, please do get in touch.

I'm always looking for the next great story to tell and place to visit.
